How To Print or Publish a Book With Your Printer

To those of you who love to collect ebooks, most probably you have have the thought of how to print it with your own deskjet or laserjet printer. It would be really good to be able to read the ebook just like ordinary book. Because one of the great disadvantage of ebook is you need a computer monitor screen to display the book. While staring too long at your monitor screen can lead to eye fatigue or light dizziness.

Some of the printer driver have the capability to print your ebook into a book format. One of them is the HP Laserjet 4200 in my office. There is a print properties that I can choose so the printer will print the output in a half page format and after the print job is done, I can fold the papers in the middle and voila, a home-made (or office-made to be exact.. ;D) published book.

And then I thought of what if I can make it even smaller. Is there an option to print the book in 1/4 page size so I can make a pocket book? Well, unfortunately there isn’t any… So I tried to Google and try to find some kind of software that can do that.

It wasn’t a long googling actually. Cause right on the first Google Search Results I found this software called ClickBook created by Blue Squirrel. They offer a trial period software that you can use for 15 days. Without any wait, I downloaded the software and tried it in my PC.

The software turns out to have many features that I wasn’t expecting. It is a complete solution software if you want to make a home-made publishing house.

The software works quite simple. It will first detect your installed printer and check whether it is compatible with the ClickBook itself. It will then create a new printer in your Windows printer folder called ClickBook Printer. Once its finished, you just need to open the ebook or any document that you want to print and print it to the ClickBook Printer.

The ClickBook Printer will capture all the pages that you want to print and open the ClickBook software. Here you can choose how you want to print the book. There basically a lot of option that you can choose from. And definitely I found the option that I wanted, print the book in a one-fourth size of a letter paper sheet.

Honestly, I felt quite awkward when I tried to print my ebook. Because the software will first print all the front page of the document and the back page after we are ready. Which the software didn’t tell me about it in the first place.

But I had success on the second try and really satisfied with the result.

In conclusion, I really like the software and recommend it to everyone out there who like to print their favorite ebook or document in a book form. For me, what I love most is now I can make a lot more neat printed form of my favorite ebook and carry them with me whenever I want to.
