Just after I review the iPad 32 GB yesterday, a good friend of mine asked me to rather write review about my MacBook Pro. I’ve actually plan to write about it but I never had time, so maybe now it’s a good time.
I bought my MacBook Pro last August from Apple store in Boston, it was during a back to school promo period and tax-free day in Massachussetts. So I got $100 discount, a free iPod touch, free HP Wireless Printer Scanner, and no tax. Not bad eh..
I’m taking Master of Science in Computer Science, so most of the time I’m a programmer and let’s see if the Apple MacBook Pro can handle my demand from a laptop.

It’s, without a doubt, one of the hottest selling gift for this Holiday season and I managed to get my hands on to one. Nope it’s not mine, it’s owned by my brother-in-law, and I’m lucky enough to try and write a quick review about it.

Sony MDR-NC6 Noise Cancelling Headphone
Finally, another chance to review a headphone that I do not own.
The Sony MDR-NC6 noise cancelling headphone I’m reviewing here is my roommate’s. He always use it without the noise cancelling feature, because when I borrowed it, it contains no battery.
The headphone needs only a single AAA battery to power the noise cancelling feature.
After listening the default songs that I always use to review headphones and earphones, this is the result. Continue reading →

What I like from software versions naming is that they are always ahead of time, such as this AVG Anti virus Free Edition 2011. It was released around last August 2010 but I just have the time to review it this end of November.

Skullcandy Smokin' Buds Red White
Just after a few months more than a year, my dbE Acoustic PR-20 broke. The reason seems to be a very classic problem, that is the wire inside breaks and thus one of the earpiece no longer produce any sound.
I should say that I’m a bit disappointed because it didn’t even last to two years (two years is my magic number for digital gadgets shelf-life). But what should I say, I cannot expect a $27 in-ear earphone that sounds good to be that durable anyway.
Anyway, since I definitely need an in-ear earphone as a replacement I bought a Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds from TJ Maxx at half of the retail price. It’s not the most colorful, it’s ‘just’ a white and bright red colored one (if you’ve seen some other Skullcandy earphones you would understand what I meant..
).
I’ve been using this earphone for almost a month now, and I think it’s a good time to write a review about it.

Finally, I can try this legendary headphone from Koss. Why legendary? From a quick google you can find that this headphone series has been manufactured by Koss since 80s (that explains the retro look).
The headphone has always been compared with Sennheiser PX100 because they both portable and roughly tagged at the same price. As a proud PX100 owner I was curious of how Koss PortaPro sounds, and I’m really fortunate to have the chance to try one that my work colleague just bought.
Does it really beat the Sennheiser PX100? Let’s find it out! Continue reading →

It seems that more and more of my work colleagues are getting “intoxicated” for a search of good sound quality, either through better headphones and headphones, or music player.
The new gadgets I get my hands to is Samsung M1 Music Player. It looks like a competitor of Apple’s iPod Touch, because it is a full multimedia gadgets similar to many O2 Mobile Phones that not only capable of playing music files, but also playing videos, games, and other applications.
Look sleek, and I’m more than ready to review this cool gadget. Continue reading →

Allright, I guess this is one of the milestone of earphone review I made so far. Because this is the first earphone that cost more than $100 I reviewed so far.
My friend just bought the earphone last week after several weeks of reading reviews from various headphone and audiophiles sources in the internet.
So let’s see what a $100 plus earphone sounds like… Continue reading →

My friend told me that Koss KSC75 is the best ear-clip earphone in class. Well, I’m not sure where he got the grading, but I’m just the person who cannot be convinced easily unless I heard the sound myself.
Koss, I suppose is quite a known name in the world of earphone lovers, though I myself haven’t heard much about it. Koss KSC75 is the second ear-clip earphone I reviewed, after the Sennheiser OMX 52 I tried several months ago.
Let’s bring this ear-clip to test, shall we? Continue reading →

Another small music player I review this week after Meizu M3. My work colleague just bought it last week and he kindly let me borrow it and let me test it. It is the first Creative portable music player I tried so far. Continue reading →
